Jake Hintermeister is an Ag & Commercial Lender at the Star Bank Elbow Lake office who enjoys helping customers achieve their financial goals. Before joining the Star Bank team, Jake got his start in the financial industry at another local community bank where he dove headfirst into financial analysis. His blend of knowledge and passion makes him a trusted partner for farmers and business owners alike.

Jake isn’t just about crunching numbers, he’s all about building genuine connections. Whether it's sharing a cup of coffee with a local farmer, volunteering at community events, or actively participating in the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, Jake's heart is in the community. Outside of banking, Jake’s adventurous spirit takes him to the great outdoors. He’s an avid waterfowl and upland bird hunter. He’s often accompanied by his trusty red lab, Scout. The two have built countless memories out in the field, chasing the next big adventure. If Jake could go anywhere in the world, you’d catch him on the next flight to New Zealand to do some Red Deer Stag hunting. One of his ultimate bucket list items is to participate in the North American Waterfowl Grand Slam – a dream for an avid hunter.
On top of all that he takes on the challenge of coaching high school football at Brandon-Evansville. His passion for coaching shows just how committed he is to making a positive impact. Whether he's strategizing on the sidelines or guiding young athletes through life lessons, Jake's dedication shines through.

Fun fact, Jake's work journey started at a locker plant during college, where he learned the ins and outs of butchering cows and pigs. That early experience gave him a unique perspective on the agricultural world—a perspective he carries with him in his lending career today.
